The Veg Big Day Out (VBDO), hosted by Te Ahikawariki/VICE and supported by A Lighter Touch, returned on Thursday, 5 March 2026, this time at the Pukekohe Research and Demonstration Farm - a fitting venue for an event dedicated to the future of vegetable growing in New Zealand. The day brought together levy-paying growers, researchers, and industry professionals to explore the latest research, on-farm technology, and practical solutions shaping the sector.
With general admission sold out and spaces reserved for registered levy-paying growers, the VBDO is clearly an event the industry looks forward to - and it’s an honour for Marquee Hire City to play a role in bringing it to life.

Marquee Hire City provided a full event infrastructure package for the VBDO, ensuring attendees, exhibitors, and speakers had comfortable, functional spaces throughout the day:
• Marquees - providing covered spaces across the event grounds for presentations, displays, and gatherings
• Tables and chairs - seating and surface hire to accommodate attendees throughout the day
• Bavarian picnic sets - classic table-and-bench combinations perfect for an outdoor farm setting, adding a relaxed and social feel to the event
