How much does it cost?
Marquees start from a minimum of $600
What is the standard hire period?
The standard period is 3 days. Usually, marquees are installed on a Thursday or Friday and collected on a Monday. We can do longer, however, after 5 days, additional fees may apply.
When will I get my marquee?
For weekend events, we usually install on a Thursday or Friday and then collect on a Monday or Tuesday.
Can I put the marquee up myself?
No, our team of professionals will put the marquees up for you.
What type of marquees do you offer?
Marquee Hire City has a range of New Zealand-made Baytex marquees. We have smaller springtop marquees (3x3, 3x6, 4x4, 4x8) as well as the clipframe series. The 6m clipframe means that the width is 6m, and can then be erected in 3m increments (6x6, 6x9, 6x12, etc, through to a 6 x 27). The 10m clipframe series means that the width is 10m and the length can be adjusted in 5m increments (10x10, 10x15 through to a 10x50)
I want a bigger tent, at least 30x30. Can you help?
Absolutely. We work with other well-known marquee companies to ensure you get what you are after.
Why does it matter if it is on grass or concrete?
If we can’t peg the marquee into the ground, we will need to bring weights.
Do you hire other party equipment?
We own a lot of different furniture, however, we do not hold catering equipment. We can arrange this for you so that when we bring the marquee, everything arrives at once.
Do you charge a wedding tax?
No, but we do ask if it is a wedding as we want to make sure that our best cloth go out for it. We also know how stressful a wedding is, so we try to get wedding marquees out earlier, so if there are any problems, we can fix them so everyone is stress-free!
Do you do a clear marquee?
We do not do clear-roofed marquees, but we do have clear walls. Clear marquees do look great, however, they can act as a glasshouse and get extremely hot. Some florists refuse to work in them. Even if you decide to go to a different company, we would suggest not using a clear-roofed marquee.
